‘On The Sofa’ is the debut album of Widnes-born English musician Ry Vieira. The singer and guitarist of Beach Skulls used his time during Spain’s strict lockdown measures in current home Barcelona to piece together pieces of his previously back-seat solo project. The result is an intimate portrait of everyday life and relationships projected via a collection of shimmering lo-fi bedroom pop songs. The project is a totally self-recorded introspective piece of work. The overarching theme of the album is that of home, coming from someone who has spent his latest years living between the cities of Liverpool, Manchester and Barcelona.
